Internet web hosting company 1&1 has just announced that it’s launching a web solutions centre for use by small and medium-sized businesses.
The announcement came on September 18, 2012 and outlined exactly what the centre would consist of and what it would provide customers with.
The new initiative is designed to add to the already existing portfolio of tools that it runs for the benefit of small and medium-sized businesses. What it will include are general tutorials, SEO, and social media skills.
Tools that are provided for the benefit of SEO are essential for companies as they will teach them how to use it to get more exposure. Social media is also brought into the fold as people will be taught how to successfully connect with customers, and subsequently how to bring even more traffic to their websites. General tutorials are available to provide basic help for those who are unfamiliar with the online world too.
1&1’s idea behind the web solutions centre is to help it compete with a lot of niche sites that also deal in teaching people how to use the latest techniques to succeed in the realm of online business. Later expansions are expected to help them compete with these websites and ultimately make sure that it’s more than just a mere web host. It’s expected to be available to all customers and won’t cost them significant amounts in terms of any one-time fees or regular subscription schemes.
The Public Relations Manager for 1&1, Kelly Meeneghan, said that: “In the future, the site will begin to incorporate additional formats to accommodate all types of visitors, including webinars, videos, and podcasts. Available to everyone, we are excited to continue providing SMBs with a vast array of online resources so they can strengthen their internet business strategy.”
