Utah-based BlueHost announced earlier this week the availability of a brand-new site building tool aimed at customers with little or no Web building experience – Weebly. The tool is designed to be as simple as possible to the extent that it allows drag and drop use of many of the web’s most popular components. It joins WordPress as the favourite BlueHost tools for website and blog development.
BlueHost will now offer the Weebly Site Builder with as many as 100 free templates customers can use to create their websites. Weebly Site Builder supports forms, image editing, blogging, and site statistical analysis tools, among other things. The basic edition is free and includes support for up to six pages; for $8.95 per month customers can add unlimited support, password protection, embedded files and documents, and a host of other features.
“We are delighted to be working with Weebly to introduce the new Site Builder,” said BlueHost CEO Daniel Handy. “One of the most requested new features from our customers is to provide them with tools that simplify website creation. Weebly will be a great option for many of our users to get their site up and running quickly.”
In his own official remarks Weebly CEO David Rusenko commented on the fact that his company does what they do in order to make building a website as easy and efficient as possible. He believes the Weebly Site Builder is one of the most powerful tools on the market being put into the hands of everyday users, giving more and more people the ability to develop their own online presence. To make that happen at BlueHost, a series of video tutorials will be made available to users.
