Global web hosting company BlueHost has signed on to offer the CloudFlare service to all of its customers. BlueHost joined a small handful of other web hosting companies last week to begin making the service available to all current customers free of any rate increase. Those who wish to take advantage of the Premium CloudFlare package can do so starting at just $14.99 per month.
CloudFlare is a platform that adds speed to cloud computing by copying the content and data to servers located around the world. This allows end users access to data based on geographic location rather than the data being at a fixed location as is the case in geo-hosting platforms. In addition, CloudFlare adds extra layers of security through technologies that filter malicious attacks, block known offenders, and limit spam.
“We’re excited to work with BlueHost to bring CloudFlare to their millions of customers,” remarked CloudFlare CEO Matthew Prince. “It couldn’t be easier; any BlueHost customer can make their site even faster and add an additional layer of security with just a few clicks from their hosting control panel.”
“We’re always striving to find the best tools in the world and then build them into our system so our clients can use them quickly and easily. CloudFlare is one of the best tools we’ve found to optimize a website. We’re sure our customers will love it,” added the BlueHost senior project manager Brian Sargent.
BlueHost is committed to making the CloudFlare service as easy to use as possible for customers. It is now available through the control panel function and installable within a matter of minutes. CloudFlare can be adjusted for each individual site a customer might be hosting.
