Canadian Web Hosting, a company that provides IT infrastructure and web hosting solutions exclusively in Canada has announced in a press release this week, an upgrade to their popular CA Cloud solutions by adding additional Dell Equalogic PS6500 and PS100XV SAN (Storage Area Network) devices to several data centers across the country.
Centers in Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC will benefit from the high performance capabilities of the Dell Equalogic series, which also has improved data sharing and storage capabilities to support data growth. The SANs are expected to enhance CWH’s CA Cloud platform by supporting e-commerce environments and disaster recovery solutions.
Canadian Web Hosting Director, Matt McKinney spoke of the expansion: “Online infrastructure and data storage needs are multiplying at a rapid rate and our customers are relying on us to deliver highly available, flexible and most importantly, improved safety of their data. With software-based SAN solutions, customers are getting storage that utilizes a range of generalized hardware with no guarantees on performance or reliability,”
“With Dell’s hardware based solutions, we can deliver guaranteed service levels and achieve enterprise grade solutions at a cost that makes it accessible to everyone.”
Customers looking to support SaaS, IaaS, and busy e-commerce environments will benefit from the reliability and performance that Dell’s Equalogic can bring to the table. Canadian Web Hosting CTO, Kevin Laing, added to Matt McKinney’s thoughts, “Customers now have a seamlessly scalable architecture and intelligent hardware arrays that easily integrate with their tier-1 applications and virtual environments including VMware that allows them to expand their virtual environments without adding cost or complexity.”
The new CA Cloud solutions combined with Canadian Web Hosting’s SSAE 16 Type II certification (SAS70) will give new and existing customers more choices in cloud, which can help bring improved ROIs during both pre and post-deployment.
