Cirrus Tech Ltd., sellers of web hosting services under the cirrushosting.com domain, recently announced the upgrade of its VPS hosting services. According to an official announcement, the upgraded service includes increased support for customized business solutions, more SaaS options, and private clouds for all VPS customers. The expanded SaaS options include CentOS 6, Debian 6, and UbuThisntu 11.04 as OS choices. Customers will also have access to Parallels Plesk, Joomla, WordPress, and Cirrus Tech’s already long list of software choices.
For the record, this is not the first virtual hosting upgrade from Cirrus Tech. Earlier upgrades have provided hosting customers with independent hardware, the option of instant provisioning, increased account management options, and scalability based on paying only for what you need. In addition, Cirrus Tech has supported all of their hosting plans with 24/7/365 technical support across the board. The new enhancements only serve to improve hosting services that were already great to begin with.
“At Cirrus, we’re always on a mission to bring the best of technology to Canadian web hosting,” said Cirrus Tech CEO Ehsan Mirdamadi. “We knew that our customers wanted and needed a redundant, scalable, high performance cloud storage environment. So that’s exactly what we designed.”
The key to the enhanced service rests in the private cloud concept. By operating a private cloud environment users have more control over their space, particularly through their OS choices. A private cloud also offers greater flexibility to keep pace with technological developments. Through the upgrade their Toronto-based company is now poised to position itself as a market leader in VPS hosting services.
