Codero Hosting Expands Operations and Names New SVP

American webhost Codero Hosting announced its decision to expand its operations by building a new office in Austin, Texas, and appointing Chandler Vaughn as the brand new product development SVP.

This news follows a number of new office and data centre openings in the past few years as the webhost has sustained significant growth. It marks Codero’s third office in the US and builds on its headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas, as well as another in Phoenix, Arizona.

Its new office in Austin will stand as the main headquarters of Emil Savegh, the new president and CEO of Codero Hosting. Members of the sales, product development, customer support, and marketing units will also make their homes in the new office.

Emil Savegh described the appointment of Chandler Vaughn as the new product development SVP: “I am fortunate to have worked with Chandler at Rackspace so I know firsthand that he is a great team builder, a strong leader, and I am confident that he will add to Codero’s rich vibrant culture.”

Vaughn’s main duties will include building strategic alliances, managing the products of the company, and leading any new developments. Savegh went into further detail on what this new appointment will handle: “Chandler will spearhead our world-class product development strategy and team to accelerate our growth and success. His work ethic and experience in building enterprise-grade private, public, and hybrid clouds will bring enormous value to Codero.”

Vaughn has extensive experience working in the industry as he was recently SunGard’s cloud product development VP and, as Savegh mentioned, he served at prominent webhost Rackspace. He also forged the Cloud Computing Research Center at the University of Texas, based in Austin, where he developed a number of patents pertaining to cloud and distributed computing.
