GoDaddy has pledged its support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation by helping to spread its awareness around the U.S. and across the world.
The main attraction in the GoDaddy support package is Danica Patrick getting behind the wheel and participating in the upcoming NASCAR race in Charlotte. On top of this, GoDaddy will be donating money to the cause, promoting the campaign across all of its platforms, and making available specialised care packages. The event is in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Danica will be dressed in a pink firesuit and the traditional lime green GoDaddy car will be changing to a pink No. 7 Chevrolet when it competes in its next NASCAR race.
Danica commented on the scheme: “So many women and their families have been impacted by breast cancer… if we all work together, we can definitely help find a cure sooner, rather than later. It’s awesome to see GoDaddy go all out with their support on so many levels.”
Along with the pink display on the race track, GoDaddy and Public Interest Registry, a non-profit organisation of the .ORG domain and industry partner of GoDaddy, a check for $50,000 will be presented to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) on race day.
The Round Up for Charity GoDaddy program will also include the NBCF. Customers who participate in this program will round up their next purchase to the nearest dollar for charity. As of this writing, in just three weeks $8,750 has been raised for a number of causes through this program.
Avid supporters of breast cancer awareness are able to see Danica drive the GoDaddy car in the next NASCAR race on ESPN at 6:30pm on October 12, 2012.
