GoDaddy, the world’s largest web-hosting provider and top domain name registrar, has announced its entrance into the reseller hosting market with the launch of GoDaddy Reseller Hosting, a new offering specifically aimed at web designers and developers.
Reseller Hosting enables users to build their own web hosting company easily and without the complex processes and time required to manage a large hosting operation. Designers and developers are given the ability to customize, control, and monetize in a secure environment. The product will be powered by GoDaddy’s highly regarded VPS and also includes cPanel/WHM.
“Web designers and developers represent a significant part of our customer base and are growing with the expansion of the Internet as a whole,” commented GoDaddy Chief Infrastructure Officer Auguste Goldman, adding “There are more and more opportunities to grow online businesses these days. Reseller Hosting empowers our customers by giving them a reliable, stable platform with full control capabilities that ultimately save them time. It’s what they told us they wanted, and we listened. Our goal is to help our customers deliver to their customers.”
Monday’s (20 August, 2012) press release put out by Business Wire cited the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics in revealing that the Web developer profession is expected to expand by 22% by 2020. By offering reliable hosting services, GoDaddy has put themselves in an ideal position to attract new developers entering the market.
“GoDaddy’s Reseller Hosting gets resellers up and running quickly,” said GoDaddy Vice President of Hosting Scott Brown in the press release. “We build products and services for Web designers and developers that are easy to use and increase their bottom line. Reseller Hosting gives designers and developers complete control without getting bogged down in buying and managing software.”
Reseller Hosting is backed by the same GoDaddy network and security used by the company’s millions of other customers.
