International and Canadian web hosting company HostPapa announced last week the introduction of Google Apps for Business to their list of services. The suite of communication and collaborative tools enables cloud customers to increase efficiency across the board by utilizing hosted applications like Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Google Sites. More importantly, HostPapa staff have been fully trained and certified to set up, deploy, and provide support. They are even able to provide training in the use of Google apps for their customers.
“HostPapa Support Services for Google Apps will help customers take full advantage of this powerful cloud office suite, by offering HostPapa’s enhanced customer support and other service options,” said HostPapa’s Sylvain Patry. “We believe that Google Apps for Business will help small and medium businesses, groups, and organizations save money, improve efficiency, and boost productivity. As a web solutions provider – and Google Apps users ourselves – we are always looking for ways to help our clients simplify the way they do business and reach higher levels of success.”
Even though HostPapa is now offering a Google Apps to its customers, they are only a reseller; all of the applications are still hosted by Google on their secure servers. Purchasing the suite through HostPapa allows customers on that web host to continue working with a company they are familiar with rather than trying to deal with HostPapa for some of their needs and Google for others. The arrangement keeps everything centralized within HostPapa.
HostPapa.ca is a Toronto-based web hosting company in business since 2006. They specialize in hosting services for small and medium-size businesses and were one of the first in Canada to publicly commit to green hosting. Today all of their operations are fuelled by 100% green energy sources.
