Just a few months after announcing the addition of solid-state drives to its Smart Servers, Liquid Web has now added a new virtual private network (VPN) solution to both its Smart VPS and Smart Server product lines. The global Web hosting company has made new VPN solutions a priority to keep pace with the demand of global networking needs among its current and future customers. The new solution announced last week (middle of June 2012) meets some of those needs by offering greater geographic connectivity, improved productivity, greater security, and easier deployments.
Sources say Liquid Web is now in the perfect position to promote VPN as an entry-level service enabling customers’ access to a secure networking solution without the requirement for their own dedicated equipment. At the same time the company’s Smart Servers are able to take advantage of cloud computing options for those customers who need them. In either case, security is top notch.
“We place a premium on our clients’ growth and security,” said liquid Web CEO Matthew Hill. “I am happy to make our VPN available to our customers as it offers yet another level of security to a product that is already lauded for its many features.”
Company officials say their dedication to customer security cannot be understated. The design of their new VPN solution had security at its forefront, with an additional focus on scalability and consistently reliable operation. The service is monitored by Liquid Web staff 24/7/365 to provide customers peace of mind when it comes to up-time and network security. Liquid Web is rolling out the new solution with a handful of promotional packages to meet the needs of most customers.
