Toronto-Based cloud hosting provider OnX Enterprise Solutions has announced the hiring of a brand-new senior vice president to be given multiple responsibilities in the Western Region of the United States. Tom Wagner, previously employed by Oracle, has been brought in to oversee sales, operations, channel development, and customer relations in states like Washington and California. The hiring comes on the heels of the company’s recent launch of new cloud services designed to give customers better design, more ease-of-use, and more speed.
One of Wagner’s chief goals is to spearhead growth through insisting on Best Practices which will translate into better customer relations and improved worker engagement. He is also expected to bring plenty of executive sales muscle to the OnX team. His prior experience with both Oracle and Sun are just what OnX is looking for in that region.
“Tom brings to OnX decades of large enterprise IT experience coupled with a deep understanding of client and partner issues and inter-workings,” said OnX president and CEO Ed Vos. “His reputation and insight from having worked with global technology leaders including Oracle and Sun is invaluable to OnX at this time as we look to expand further in the US and continue to build strong and successful relationships with enterprise and commercial clients.”
During his time with Oracle Wagner perform many of the functions he will be responsible for with his new employer. At Sun Microsystems he was a vice present of sales largely responsible for channel development, outsourcing, and resellers. He will be reporting to executive vice president and U.S. general manager Enza Alexander.
