Radiant Communications, a Canadian cloud host, revealed on the 6th of March 2012 that it had named Mr. Paul Healey as its new president and CEO.
Paul Healey was named as the president and CEO after serving a period as the interim president and CEO of the company, from August 2011.
Radiant Communications is a major part of Canada’s efforts to catch up with the cloud computing market in the United States. Part of this has come with the Cloud Best Practices Council which comprises multiple experts who work with local and national governments to promote the adoption of cloud technology.
The company is one of Canada’s brightest prospects in the industry as it provides managed networks, solutions for cloud hosting and broadband connectivity, enterprise computing solutions for the cloud, and private networking.
When the appointment was made Don Calder, the chairman of Radiant Communications, made a statement: “Both the Board and the senior management team have worked very closely with Paul over the past six months and we are unanimous in our conviction that Paul has the talent, experience and leadership capability to deliver the results and growth that our shareholders are looking for.”
Mr. Healey had previously held prominent executive positions at Rogers Communications and BCE, while also acquiring hands-on experience as president of Western Canada at Bell Canada. As part of his duties as president at this company, Mr. Healey was responsible for managing a customer base with an estimated value of $1 billion.
The company expects that Mr. Healey will be a vital asset to the company as he has a strong reputation for driving growth both regionally and nationally.
