Montréal-based web hosting company Vexxhost is in the news again, this time announcing a new partnership with one of the Internet’s leading credit card processing services. Vexxhost will now be using Host Merchant Services (HMS) as the primary credit card processor available to its customers. After reaching the agreement the company went so far as to formally introduce Host Merchant Services to customers in order to make them as familiar as possible with the new service.
The strength of the HMS brand is the fact that their platform is easy to use, customer friendly, and very accurate. All three things are important to small and medium-sized businesses, among which a large portion of Vexxhost customers are classified. Yet the service offered by HMS is also important to small start-ups and low income businesses that need credit card processing at a reasonable cost. The HMS service requires no contracts and contains no hidden fees. Furthermore, they offer the option for a lifetime rate that won’t change and free equipment to customers who conduct transactions off-line.
“We provide easy “cost plus” pricing, so you always know exactly what you are paying us for the service we provide,” says the company’s website. “All pricing is expressed at “Interchange” plus a rate (generally a percentage fee plus a per transaction charge).”
All new and existing Vexxhost customers are automatically eligible for a $75 voucher to be used toward paying their credit card processing fees. In order to use the HMS platform through Vexxhost customers need only visit their website and fill out the online application. Vexxhost says it can be completed in 10 minutes or less and, following approval, the account will be set up within 24 to 48 hours.
